We’ve enjoyed a busy summer season and we’re now gearing up for one of our busiest winters, with some major events for the region including the recent World Masters Games and the Lion’s Rugby Tour 2017 coming up in June and July. It’s an exciting time for us, as we take a moment to share some of our news with you.

New addition to our team

Meet Emily the newest, smallest and cutest addition to our Team. Emily joined Ananda in January and as you can see she is a valuable asset to our company. Here she is inspecting the 2017 Vintage with Daddy at Stonyridge Vineyard. Mum Brooke, Dad Martin and our whole family couldn’t be prouder!

Mudbrick’s new onsite accommodation 

Brooke recently attended the launch of The Lodge at Mudbrick Vineyard, adding to their portfolio of stunning properties. The 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom lodge boasts views that surround the entire house, looking over Auckland to the Coromandel, the location is breathtaking. Learn More

Tantalus Estate newest  vineyard to Waiheke Island

Tantalus is the most recent vineyard to open on Waiheke Island. Situated in the Onetangi Valley the Estate opened in September 2016 and includes 5.3 hectares of vineyards, a winery, craft brewery and restaurant. Learn More

Fullers' winter sailing schedule

We’re excited to advise that Fullers have announced their winter sailing schedule. Fullers will continue with departures every 30 minutes from Auckland, continuing on with the schedule they ran in summer. This proves that Waiheke Island truly is a year round destination. Learn More

Just arrived, our latest addition to the Ananda fleet is a luxurious 2017 Mercedes Benz V220D Avantgarde, with full leather interior and tinted windows, it’s a fitting vehicle for a new top-of-the-line VIP tour experience we’re calling “Ananda Black”. 

We have always prided ourselves on being able to go over and above our clients' expectations showcasing the best that Waiheke has to offer. With over 18 years' in the tourism industry, we have the knowledge and connections to design truly unique, individualised itineraries and we can now offer an even higher standard of luxury touring. 

We can introduce your clients to the winemakers, chefs and artists, take them to lesser-known wineries and scenic spots far from the general crowd… Whatever their pleasure, we will go out of our way to make it happen.

New Private Tour Vehicle

Introducing Gynnie, the latest addition to our fleet! She's a 2013 Hyundai iMax. Currently a 7 seater however we have plans to refit her with 4 Captain style seats in the back for maximum comfort and leg room. She's very quiet and has plenty of room for luggage / all you wine purchases!

Team Complete Wine Diploma Course

On the 22nd of June the whole Ananda team took part in a specially organised Bob Campbell Wine Diploma Course at Cable Bay Vineyard to enhance their wine knowledge and learn some tricks of the trade. Bob Campbell is one of just over 300 Masters of Wine in the world (with only a handful located in New Zealand!). He has been running wine courses since 1986 and loves to share his wealth of knowledge. The course covered interesting topics such as the language of wine, how to taste wine like a professional and food and wine matching.

Five Gold Medals for Waiheke Olive Oil in The Los Angeles Country Fair!

Waiheke Olive Oil producers deserve to have a big smile on their face after the latest results from the 2013 LA Country Fair International Olive Oil Awards. Out of the 10 medals handed out to New Zealand, 8 of them were for Waiheke Oils with 5 of those medals being Gold!
